Friday Finds: Yamelo Music Videos

This morning, while searching for the term “Käsebrot” I found Yamelo. It’s a website that organizes YouTube’s music videos by year. So if you want to see what was hot in 1984, you simply click ’84, and you get a nice grid of video stills from everything from Depeche Mode’s “People Are People” to Lionel Richie’s “Hello,” to Laura Branigan’s “Self Control.” Gems like these are surrounded by most every other brilliant tune that streamed through the airwaves in the early eighties.
It’s a great resource and will surely be a big help on my quest to learn the words to Nena’s “99 Luftballons“, while simultaneously improving my German language skills tenfold.
