Friday Finds: Schönenberger Dish Towels

I have a new treasured possession. It’s my brand new Schönenberger dish towel my mother-in-law Cait bought for me last month in Geneva. It’s incredibly stiff, and features a classic red, white and black motif that has only changed slightly since 1933. I had never heard of Schönenberger before, but judging by the excellent label that includes photographs of kitchens from the 1950s and 1960s, I had an inkling they were pretty reputable. What I found out is that Schönenberger is a Swiss textile company who started out by making cotton and linen sacks for flour in 1860. Wunderbar!
