Thanks to my wonderful friend Nicole, I haven’t had to invest a dime in maternity clothes. She sent me a big box of the cutest turtlenecks, skirts, jeans, and khakis with those elastic waists made especially for burgeoning bellies. But when I saw that A Cup of Jo had ordered this super cute maternity dress from ASOS, I just had to go take a look at their site (they’ve got regular clothes too). And when I found this navy blue number in the clearance section for just £20, I couldn’t say no. Doesn’t it look like something Cybill Shepherd might have worn in Taxi Driver?

When I was planning my wedding a few years ago, I became obsessed with collecting old copies of Martha Stewart Weddings. I would scour Ebay for these invaluable troves of wonderful wedding delights. I also loved New York Magazine‘s wedding issue and there was a British bridal magazine whose title escapes me. But Martha Stewart Weddings was always my most cherished. Packed with so many creative ideas for invitations, centerpieces, place settings, and favors, plus beautiful spreads on bridal gowns, cakes, and bouquets, and the best part of all, features on real weddings, including everything from posh wine country soirees to Caribbean beach batches – how could it not be? Unfortunately, the time has come for me to part with these dear treasures. I’ve decided to sell them on Etsy. Please buy them, and love them as much as I did. If you include a note that you’re a Tidepooler reader, I’ll ship them for free!

For her wedding last February, Isabelle, a Swedish decorator, blogger, and mother of two, found this darling pale pink vintage gown. Originally full length, she made it knee length and used the remnants to make a matching dress for her little girl. Too adorable!

1890, 3 bedroom with original hardwood floors. Newton, North Carolina – $90k

1910 Victorian, Marion, Ohio – $85k

1850 Greek Revival, Abbeville, Georgia – $65k

I’m just baffled by the price of these homes. Of course to get a house for under $100,000 you’d have to move to some backwater town in who-knows-where America. And probably spend a pretty penny fixing it up too. But aren’t they gorgeous?

Throw in another $100k and feast your eyes on the possibilities.

My friend Erica is one of the most amazing people I know. One of the many reasons why I consider her so awesome is that she’s part of a little project known as the Kate Bush Dance Troupe. Anyone who concocts a choreographed routine to classics like “Wuthering Heights” and “Hounds of Love” is o.k. in my book. Ladies, when is the next audition? My leotard is ready to come out of the closet!
